Last month, I was in Botswana to experience our mobile safaris. The safari was run and guided by Mock, the gentle giant of Moremi, and his team with Cathy supervising the kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious, the bread freshly made and the G&T's cold with ice, just as you would expect from a top lodge
in Botswana, never mind that we were in the middle of nowhere on a mobile safari. The attention to detail was spot on from good quality tents, the most luxurious 'snoozer' chairs outside for siesta time, beautiful birds made out of napkins and rugs laid on the floor for the bags before they were loaded onto the
Mock was a superb guide and despite the light rain showers, we saw both superb and unusual game. The mobile safaris can be arranged in all the key areas of Botswana and for any length of time, using the excellent Boga camp sites. Being inside the Game Reserves and National Parks does prevent walking and night drives but this certainly did not detract from our stay. With all the drinks included, this really is incredible value for money and by twinning a few days on the Footsteps in Africa mobile safari together with a camp at the end of your itinerary, it is a fantastic and very affordable way to explore Botswana.
