Footsteps in Africa - Camps & Lodges
Our camps and lodges are owner-operated – by people committed to the resources and cultures of Botswana.
Footsteps in Africa is committed to Sustainable Tourism Practices; including management systems maximising social, economic and cultural benefits to the local communities whilst conserving the environments we operate in. We are committed to providing a quality, rewarding, yet affordable safari experience for your guests.
We proudly operate a community-based tourism project at Santawani and Sankuyo Bush Camp in association with Lodges of Botswana and the Sankuyo village trust.
Pro-poor Tourism is conducted at all camps and lodges.
Delta Camp, Oddballs’ Enclave and Oddballs’ are amongst the most environmentally friendly safari camps anywhere, confirmed by the findings of the pilot project for EcoTourism Standards in Botswana.
Our various camps and lodges offer a wide range of experiences, including traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) safaris (we are the last operators in Botswana to use the traditional, hand-made canoes rather than fibreglass replicas), camping excursions, day and night drives with guide and tracker, San (Bushman) activities and interactions, guided walking, horse riding, and family and specialist safaris.
